Following Jesus has always looked a little…different. From the earliest days of the Church until now, Christians have stood out—not because they were trying to be strange, but because their lives were shaped by a completely different set of values. In a world that prioritizes self, power, and comfort, Jesus calls His followers to something radically different. And that difference often gets labeled as “weird.”
In this series, Christians Are Weird, we’re taking a closer look at why that’s true—and why it’s actually a good thing. We’ll explore what Scripture says about living set apart, how our identity in Christ reshapes our priorities, and why being different isn’t something to hide, but something God uses to point others to Him.
Along the way, we’ll tackle some of the most challenging and countercultural parts of the Christian life—like loving our enemies and giving our lives away—and we’ll also be honest about the ways Christians can be “weird” that don’t reflect Jesus at all. The goal isn’t to stand out for the sake of it, but to live in such a way that people see God clearly through us.
